Senegal

Once I left Madagascar in February of 2009, I decided to stick with the African continent and relocated to Senegal. I lived in Senegal from March to October 2009 and finished the rest of my fellowship. I lived primarily in a coastal village called Ndayane, a few hours south of Dakar on the eastern shore. I also spent a significant amount of time in Thies, the second largest city due east of Dakar. I also spent a short time with a family in Kaolack and took a trip to explore the southeast area surrounding the town of Kedougou.
